NEW REFEREE - SOCCER REFEREE COURSE INFORMATION
The initial step to becoming a soccer referee in Louisiana is now completely ONLINE.
After completing the Online New Referee Course, you will be able to start refereeing games in 2019.
The first step to becoming a registered USSF (United States Soccer Federation) soccer referee is to complete an online USSF registration and then take and pass a completely online referee course. This initial online referee course is titled “Grade 9 New Recreational Referee Course”. This course is the first step to become a USSF soccer referee with a Grade 9 status. This Grade 9 status allows the new referee to officiate recreational games at the U14-level and below for up to one year. The Grade 9 referee is expected to subsequently advance to Grade 8 status by taking a one-day Grade 8 upgrade course within the next year.
